Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent. • Relevant tertiary qualification (NQF 5 or higher) in graphic design and portfolio of evidence, which is essential. • Proficient in Adobe Suite. • Above average verbal and written English communications skills to communicate professionally with customers and internally, both telephonically and by email. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience and/or proven track record in a Layout Artist or similar position and environment. • Understanding of branding processes. • Proven ability to work under pressure. • Proven customer interaction and service history

Brief Description of Key Performance Areas:

• Provide great service with every layout produced. • Assess visual aspects, such as typeface, colour, position and formatting of logo. • Ensure that the text and images are appropriate and visually appealing and in accordance with client specification. • Assist with storyboards and mockups as required. • Ensure work is of the highest standards in order to meet the clients’ requirements. • Adhere to health and safety requirements and ensure compliance at all times. • Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements. • Maintain and improve housekeeping and hygiene standards within department.
