Background
In Roche’s Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organisation (pRED), we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some of the world’s toughest unmet healthcare needs. This position is located in Therapeutic Modalities (TMo) - the global function in pRED responsible for designing and developing novel molecules for the pRED discovery and early development portfolio.

The perfect candidate is a dedicated and experienced Senior Administrative Assistant who is passionate and confident about working with executive leaders as well as colleagues across a wide network in the organisation. For a period of 10-12 months (maternity coverage) the candidate will closely work with the Head of pRED TMo and the Head of Nucleic Acid Based Medicines (NABM), effectively managing their meeting agenda and travel needs. The candidate will support the central portfolio governance in TMo by enabling the agenda and facilitating regular meetings. The perfect candidate enjoys working in a team of shared responsibility and work interest, with multiple priorities, helping others, spotting challenges in advance and working collaboratively to resolve them. Collaboration, flexibility, can do attitude and a professional growth and learning mindset is key to being successful in this role.


Task and Responsibilites

  • organising internal and external meetings, events, seminars, and visits, including interactions with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • managing and monitoring purchases and expenses
  • arranging complex business travels
  • effectively interacting with colleagues within and outside of the organisation and across multiple locations and timezones
  • an active part of an administrative community, leveraging know-how and support
  • managing the TMo Discovery Forum, the central portfolio governance board in TMo
  • covering additional administrative responsibilities on an as needed basis

You must have these qualifications

  • commercial apprenticeship or similar education (*****)
  • min. 5-8 years professional experience in administrative tasks including executive support (*****)
  • resourceful and flexible in problem solving, including dealing with urgent requests (*****)
  • strong communication skills (****)
  • Collaborative & inclusive approach to work (*)
  • fluent in English, oral and written

Nice to haves

  • German
  • good knowledge of the Google suite and other Roche software
  • Roche experience
  • curiosity about business area & interest to learn about the organisation

Work hours
