Job Responsibilities:
- Check, count and mark all items received for washing and dry-cleaning against accompanying lists, report and discrepancies, damages, stains, etc. to Supervisors
- Ensure that all markings are clear and marking tapes are firmly fixed, so that items are returned to guests correctly after processing
- Check type of material and colour as to separate them for washing or dry-cleaning. Remove buttons or accessories if necessary, and re-sew them after processing
- Identify materials that are to be processed in different pressing machine
- Check items, separate those need repair, touch-up or re-washing to appropriate personnel
- Inspect all cleaned and pressed items, check numberm fold and pack for delivery
- Collect all items for laundry, dry-cleaning and pressing, writing clearly the room number, type(s) of service required and any other relevant information
- Deliver all processed items from Laundry Department
- Test for colour-fastness, hand-wash, machine-wash and dry-clean all soiled items
- Load, unload and check dryers for proper drying
