The Opportunity

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the idea candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.

What you will be doing

  • Departmental tasks related to Harvesting, Processing and / or Packaging cannabis that could include;
  • De-leafing and de-boning plants as instructed;
  • Processing dried cannabis for storage including hand trim, milling and blending;
  • Dispensing dried cannabis into its primary packaging including comprehensive record keeping and product labeling;
  • Performing verification activities;
  • Cleaning and maintenance of harvesting, processing and packaging equipment and work areas;
  • Optimizing applicable harvesting, processing or packaging related SOP's;
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving quality deviations or production constraints;
  • Actively contributing to continuous improvement efforts;
  • Following all safety policies set in force by the company;
  • Other duties as required, including assisting other departments as needed.

To qualify, you have

  • Willingness to learn and take direction;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment;
  • Organized and clean;
  • Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive work while maintain focus;
  • Must be able to work in adverse conditions, i.e. heights, heat, high intensity lighting;
  • Keen eye for detail, as well as a critical eye for troubleshooting defects with a commitment to quality and safety;
  • Flexibility to work shift work as required, including 12-hour shifts;
  • Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
